Additionally, thermometer calibration is carried out using Dry wells capable of reaching temperatures up to 650°C.
Dry-wells or blocks create a controlled atmosphere at a predetermined temperature for calibration purposes. Once the desired temperature is achieved, both the test instrument and a standard reference are immersed into the bath or well to compare readings and ensure accuracy.
